Norwich finished the season with a 42-12 win over Ithaca last night, once again in the pouring rain. That didn’t deter die-hard Tornado fans who once again braved the wet weather. Jesse scored the first touchdown of the game and Mom was so proud, doing her famous point and yell, “That’s My Son!”
Tempers flared and I honestly have never seen such poor, unsportsmanlike behavior like I saw last night. There was much shirt grabbing and ripping, face-mask yanking and at one point head punching which lead to a player being thrown out of the game. Unfortunately, all the negative behavior came from the Ithaca players and I was embarrassed to witness athletes behaving so badly. I’m not sure where all the anger was coming from but it really worked against Ithaca. I’ll post a link to the highlights and post some pictures when I get them together.
