Rudy and The Pedophile…Or How To Stick Your Head In The Sand.

October 24, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Former New York City Mayor and Republican Presidential candidate, Rudy Giuliani has recently been a hot topic in the news lately. Not for his Presidential campaign but for something much more sinister. Apparently Rudy has decided to hire his “good friend”, Monsignor Alan Placa to work in his consulting firm. What could be wrong or sinister with hiring a man of god? Perhaps the fact that the good Monsignor has been accused by several former students and altar boys of molesting them during the 1970’s.

When asked how he could hire an accused sexual predator he replied, “I know the man; I know who he is, so I support him,” Giuliani said. “We give some of the worst people in our society the presumption of innocence and benefit of the doubt,” he said. “And, of course, I’m going to give that to one of my closest friends.”  Mr. Giuliani has obviously not been watching Dateline’s “To Catch A Predator” or he would realize that child molesters come disguised as friends, family members, clergy, teachers and other seemingly innocent individuals. Shame on you Mr. Giuliani for not even have the common sense to investigate the charges against the Monsignor before hiring and defending him. I hope voters will remember this when it comes time to choose a new President.
