Your Assignment…Should You Decide To Accept It (and you had better)

October 12, 2007 · 2 Comments

Okay people…you’ve left me no choice here. In an attempt to bring you all out of hiding I’ve decided to list 3 questions and expect an answer from every one of you. There will be no grades, but you must turn in this assignment or you will automatically be out of my will. Anyone can submit answers, you do not have to be a family member. These questions are generic enough to inspire thoughts, ideas and hopefully answers from anyone. Here are my 3 questions:

1. What do you hope to gain from blogging?

2. What’s your favorite family reunion/vacation memory?

3. Do you prefer puppies or kittens and why?

Posting Pictures Of My Children

October 12, 2007 · 2 Comments

This being a “family news” oriented blog, I and other members of my family will no doubt be blogging about our children. Most of my posts already center around my son, Jesse. But I’ve debated whether or not to include pictures of my kids along with my posts. Nowadays, parents are cautious about broadcasting anything on the internet, especially things concerning family. You never really know who’s reading your post and checking out your photos.

Like any mom, I am of the opinion that my three children are beautiful. I just don’t want some oddball thinking the same thing and becoming fixated on one of them. I do vaguely mention my hometown and my son’s picture shows his jersey pretty well. I’ve even hesitated to put photos of my almost 20 year old daughter on either this blog or my personal blog. Am I being paranoid? Or am I being realistic? I’ve noticed many other bloggers who write about their families post big, upclose photos of their daughters and sons. Part of me thinks that’s nice, how proud they must be. But then again, another part of me is thinking, isn’t that a little risky? Just a thought. What do you think?
